JENPAUH – 2018 Schedule and Online Counselling for admission to B.Sc. Nursing.
B.Sc. Nursing Admission to West Bengal Government various Colleges and Private Colleges. The Central Selection Committee (Nursing) has declared the JENPAUH – 2018 Online Counselling Schedule for admission to B.Sc. Nursing in West Bengal. Admission Process:
Successful candidates in 1st round are required to report to allotted college/ institution within the specific period of reporting as indicated in the counseling schedule for completion of admission formalities. Prior to admission the candidates are required to undergo document verification by physical presence at the mentioned venue on the date and time as mentioned in the schedule.
The entire process includes the following steps:
- Physical appearance of the candidate in the specified venue during the date and time mentioned for document verification. Candidates are required to produce all original documents /certificates during verification, failing which her candidature will be cancelled and she will not be allowed to take admission in allotted institution.
- After successful verification of documents the candidates would report to the college/ institution where she has been allotted a seat in the 1st round/subsequent round(s) of counseling and complete all the formalities for admission process.
- During the online admission process the candidate may opt to participate in next round of counseling for up-gradation of her allotted seat as per choices exercised by her during the 1st round.
- If a candidate fail to report for physical document verification in the specified venue and / or to the allotted institution for admission, her candidature will be cancelled and she will not be able to participate in any subsequent round(s) of counseling.
- Admitted candidates may surrender the seat and resign/withdraw from counseling process during the reporting period in any of the round of counselling but will not be allowed to claim the refund of counselling fee by any means.
During 2nd round of counseling, allotment process will be executed for all the vacant seats which remain vacant due to the following reasons:
- Non-reported seats (candidates not reported for document verification/admission)
- Cancelled seats (candidates’ candidature cancelled due to unsuccessful verification of documents etc.)
- Surrendered Seats (seats surrendered by candidates after admission)
- Non-allotment of seats (seats which could not be allotted due to unavailability of candidates’ choices)
- Additional Seats, if any (in case new seats/institution(s) are included in the counseling process in subsequent round(s).
During 2nd round of allotment remaining seats will be allotted to the candidates who have opted for up-gradation during the 1st round of admission and also to the not-allotted candidates during round 1 as per their eligibility criteria and choices exercised during round 1.
- Reporting for online admission within the stipulated time at allotted institute after each round of allotment process is mandatory for the candidate who is allotted a seat in the said round otherwise the candidate may forfeit the allotted seat and will not be allowed to participate in subsequent round(s) of counselling.
- After admission, mark sheet will be sent for verification to the respective board/council and if any discrepancy is detected at any point during the course, the admission of the candidate will be cancelled. The same is applicable for other supporting documents, if any, like Caste Certificate, Domicile / Residential Certificate etc.. Furthermore, if any declaration/ information / certificates etc. are found to be false after the admission or at any point of during the course / training, the candidate’s admission will stand cancelled.
- Medical examination form to be obtained from respective colleges during the time of reporting. Candidates have to undergo specific medical check-up and fill in the medical check up form which should be submitted to the respective institutions within three days of admission. In case, it is found that the candidate is not medically fit, her candidature will be cancelled.
Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc. Nursing Counselling:
1. Candidates must not be below 17 years of age as on 31st December 2018.
2. Only female candidates who have secured 45.00% or above in aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE) and passed in each subject (separately in theory and practical) in higher secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination in case of Unreserved Candidates. In case of Reserved Candidates (SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD) aggregate marks should be 40.00% or above and candidate should pass in each subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English separately (both in theory and practical).
3. Must be permanent resident of West Bengal for admission in Government Institution. The candidate or her parents should possess Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority, Government of West Bengal in the Government prescribed proforma like a1, a2 or b.
4. PWD eligible candidates for Nursing Course: Candidates who have a minimum of 40%-70% disability with respect to locomotors disorder (orthopedically of lower limb).
5. Rank holder in JENPAUH Examination, 2018.
Process of E-Counselling:
Candidates are required to visit the B.Sc. Nursing Counseling Website http://wbmcc.nic.in/ugnursing or http://wbmcc.nic.in and click on ‘B.Sc. Nursing Counseling’ link.
All eligible, willing, JENPAUH merit listed candidates are required to make the payment of counseling fee before online registration for the counseling process. Candidates are required to make online payment of the required fee through Online Payment Gateway (Bill Desk) using the link provided in B.Sc. Nursing Counseling website.
Counselling fee (non-refundable) for Unreserved Candidates is Rs.500/- and Reserved Candidates is Rs.250/-. Transaction charges/service charges at the rate of Rs.10/- and Rs. 15/- will be applicable for different mode of payments like Debit Card/Credit Card and Net Banking respectively.
Prior to payment of counseling fee, candidates are required to fill in the details of 10+2 qualifying marks as per the eligibility criteria of the counseling process.
After successful updating of 10+2 marks details and payment of counseling fee a candidate is allowed to register online using the link provided in the website with her JENPAUH credentials (roll no., date of birth etc.) and online payment transaction ID which was generated during the payment process.
Online Registration is mandatory for all the eligible and merit listed candidates willing to participate in
Online Counseling for admission to B.Sc. Nursing. In no case a non-registered candidate would be allowed to participate in counseling process in any of the round(s) of counseling. Registration process should be completed during 1st round of counseling within the stipulated time as mentioned in the counseling schedule published by Central Selection Committee (Nursing). No fresh registrations will be allowed in the 2nd round of counseling or subsequent round(s), if any.
On successful registration, a candidate can log in to the system using her JENPAUH Roll No. and login password as was set by her during registration and exercise her choices of Nursing Colleges/Institutions on priority basis. A candidate is allowed to select and submit as many choices as she desires as per the available choices shown to her. The choice list can be edited any number of times till the list is finalized and locked by the candidate. The choice list as selected by the candidate need to be locked as per the scheduled choice locking date as mentioned in counseling schedule. In any case if any choice list is saved but not locked by the individual candidate, the same will be locked by the system after closing of choice filling schedule.
Choices of nursing colleges/institutions as exercised by the registered candidates would be processed during the 1st and/or subsequent round(s) of counseling where a candidate will be allotted a seat of her choice(s) in order of her eligibility criteria, JENPAUH merit rank, reservation policy and the availability of seat at any college/institution at that point of time.
IMPORTANT:
Failing in exercising in any of these steps will result in cancellation of the candidature.

1. Registered candidates have to follow the counseling website (http://wbmcc.nic.in/ugnursing) regularly till the completion of entire counseling process for any changes in the schedule and other notices which will appear in the website as and when required.
2. Candidate taking admission in Private colleges has to pay non refundable Rs. 5000/- as admission processing fee for the first opted college in case of change of college (if applicable) only.
