Essential Qualifications:
i. Uniformly good academic records with a Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale wherever a grading system is followed.
ii. At least 10 (Ten) years of experience as Lecturer / Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 6000/- and above with experience in educational administration in Academic Institutions like University, Research Establishment and / or in an institute of higher learning of which 5 (five) years must be in a University or in an Institute of Post Graduate Study. OR
Comparable experience in research establishments and other institutions of higher learning. OR
10 (ten) years’ administrative experience, of which 5 (five) years shall be as Assistant Registrar or equivalent post.

ii. Experience in System Engineering and Support activity in responsible position of Computer Centre of an institute of Higher Learning / University / Government Organization / Industry / other higher academic bodies of which, 5 (five) years in the pay scale of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification :
i. Teaching Experience in Computer System Architecture Operating System and Distributed System, in Govt. affiliated, AI.C.T.E. recognized Institutions of Higher learning.

University Librarian:

University Librarian – Department : University Library, N.B.U. : 1 post [UR][Pay Band Rs. 37,400 – 67,000/- + G.P. Rs. 10,000/-]

Essential Qualification: (As per UGC regulation the applicants need to have required API Score) :
i. A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and consistently good academic record as set out in UGC Regulations, 2016.
ii. At least 13 (thirteen) years of experience as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or 18 (eighteen) years of experience as a College Librarian.
iii. Evidence of innovative library services and organization of published work.
iv. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicators (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the UGC Regulations 2016 in Appendix III Table VIII(B) i.e. cumulative A.P.I. Score of 400.
OR
An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
Desirable Qualification:
i. AM.Phil / Ph.D. degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript Keeping.

Assistant University Librarian:

Assistant University Librarian – Department : University Library, N.B.U.: 1 post [(ST)][Pay Band Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/- + G.P. Rs. 6,000/-]
Essential Qualification :
i. A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
ii. Qualifying in the national level eligibility test conducted for the purpose by UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
iii. However, candidates who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the “University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET / SLET /SET for recruitment or appointment of Assistant University Librarian.
* Age Limit - Maximum age limit 50 years.
* Note -Provided further that incase of employees of the University who are otherwise found suitable for the post of Assistant University Librarian, the prescribed academic qualification / administrative experience / age may be reduced or waived on recommendation of the Standing Committee.

Junior Pharmacist:

Junior Pharmacist:Department : Health Centre, N.B.U. : 1 post [UR][Pay Band – 2 : Rs. 7200 – 25,400/- + G.P.:Rs. 3,300/-]
Essential Qualifications:
i. Uniformly good academic record with a B. Pharm.from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale wherever a grading system is followed.
ii. Must be registered with the appropriate body in the State.
iii. A minimum of 2 (two) years’ experience in Government hospital / Health Centre in substantive / Contractual capacity.
* Age Limit - Maximum age limit 40 years. Relaxable in case of exceptionally qualified candidate.
* Note -Provided further that incase of employees of the University who are otherwise found suitable for the post of ‘Junior Pharmacist’, the prescribed academic qualification / administrative experience / age may be reduced or waived on recommendation of the Standing Committee.

Desirable Qualification :
i. A minimum 2 (two) years’ experience of works either in substantive / contractual capacity in Central / State Hospital / Health Centre of dressings of the patients and have experience to maintain records of the Medical Stores and Patients.
ii. M. Pharm with specialization in Pharmacology / Toxicology.

General instructions to the candidates:

1. Candidates applying for more than one post will have to apply in separate Application Formmeant for the purpose.
2. Candidates who have applied earlier in response to Advt. No. 33/R-13 dated 21.02.2013 & Advt. No. 34/ R-13 dated 21.02.2013 are required to apply again, however, such applicants may quote old bank draft number submitted earlier and shall purchase a new bank draft of the rest amount of enhanced application fee.
3. No application other than prescribed application form will be considered.
4. Persons employed in Government / Semi-Government / Quasi-Government / Autonomous bodies should submit their application through proper channel. They may, however, send an advance copy of the application. Those who are unable to process their application through proper channel may submit a ‘no objection certificate’ from the present employer at the time of the interview. However, they should also submit an undertaking to that effect along with the application form. No direct application from such candidates will be entertained. Contd…..
5. For reservation of OBC, SC, ST the certificates issued by the competent authority within the state of West Bengal shall only be considered valid. Such certificates issued by other states shall not be considered for the purpose of reservation. However such candidates may apply as unreserved candidates.
6. Proof of belonging to SC or ST or OBC or Persons with Disability must be submitted along with the filled in Application Form and no claim in this regard will be entertained afterwards.
7. Age will be calculated as on date of advertisement.
8. Candidates must write the “Advt. No.” and “Name of the Post Applied For” on the top of the envelope.
9. Application by post, hand or by courier service will be accepted.
10. Incomplete applications, applications without self-attested copies of certificates, applications without the requisite fees, or applications received after the due date are liable to be rejected.
11. Filled-in application forms (ONE SET) along with two self-addressed unstamped envelope (25 cm X13 cm) and one copy of the recent passport size photograph (identical with the same pasted in the form) and other documents regarding citizenship (by registration), age, qualification, and experience duly attested by the candidate must be sent by Registered Post only and must reach to the Office of the Registrar on or before 27.09.2018.
12. The University shall not entertain any application after the last date and shall not be responsible for any postal delay.
13. The University shall reserve the right to cancel the process of recruitment to any category of the above mentioned post(s) without showing any reason whatsoever.
14. The University reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof.
15. Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for interview / in any other form of selection process. Only the short listed candidates will be called for interview. The decision of the University in all matters will be final.
16. No informal correspondence from the candidates will be entertained in connection with the process of selection. Canvassing in any form will entail disqualification of Candidature.
17. Applicants for the Post of University Librarian,front pages of five best publications (at the maximum) should be attached with application form. However, applicants for the Post of Assistant University Librarian may also submit the front page of their publications, if any. The original certificates and complete publications should be placed before the selection committee.
18. Supporting documents showing the details of past service in U.G.C. scale must be provided.
19. Application fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
