The Chief Minister in a press conference said that the evaluation of secondary and higher secondary will be done by the expert committee, the board of secondary education, the parliament of higher secondary education and the education department will sit together and decide within seven days.

She said she received 34,000 emails until two o'clock last Monday. Among them, 79 per cent people voted against the secondary examination, 83 per cent people voted against the higher secondary examination, including the general public and many students. Everyone's opinion is important. The Supreme Court has also made an observation in this situation. Our expert committee said the test should not be taken in this cowardly situation. That is why we are not taking secondary and higher secondary examinations, said Mamata Banerjee. He said almost everyone voted in favor of the same decision. CBSC and ICSC have taken the same decision. Abu Taher Kamruddin Mahasaya, president of the Madrasa Board of Education, said the examinations of all classes 'Alim', 'Fazil' and 'High Madrasa' were cancelled as per the directive of the Chief Minister. They will quickly tell you what will happen to the assessment and how.

Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal spoke on the assessment:
Special attention should be paid so that the examinees do not face any difficulty. In the opinion of the expert committee, the marks obtained in class IX should be given 70 per cent and the marks obtained from class X should be given 30% preference.

The Hon'ble Chief Minister further said that even if the tenth class is given more priority in the assessment, it should be given, but the decision should be taken after careful consideration. We have to see that the students are not deprived. The future of the children depends on this assessment. The Central Board and the CBSE Board should pay special attention to what they are deciding about their Class X and XII examinations. We need to look at their assessment and the assessment of our state together. Children should have equal access to all-India competitive exam preparation and admission to higher education.

The expert committee will have to finalize the decision within seven days of the assessment on the secondary higher secondary examination.
