University of Burdwan PG Admission 2021-2023

Application are invited from passout candidates through online portal for admission to the following courses of studies for the session 2021 to 2023.
Master in arts and commerce (MA/M Com).
Bengali, English, Economics, Education, Hindi, History, Political science, Sanskrit, sociology, Urdu, Rabindra Sangeet, Arabic, Santali, Classical Vocal Music Hindustani, French, Women's Studies, Mass Communication and Commerce.

Requirement:

• Candidates must keep ready a passport size photograph,
• scanned copy of his signature,
• admit card of 10th standard,
• mark sheet of all examinations,
• certificates of category before filling the admission form.

Eligibility: Candidates minimum 50% mark for unreserved and 45% for SC ST OBC a OBC b DDA SP in the qualification qualifying examination detail in the information brochure.

Online Submission of forms from September 1, 2021 to September 15, 2021 in the university website www.buruniv.ac.in. Candidates follow the official website www.buruuniv.ac.in for further details.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduate Courses Admission in 2021-2023.
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for different Post Graduate Courses admission and collect the information brochure given below.

1. Women's Studies: Regular Honours Graduates of any recognized University who have done the three-year Hons. Course in History, Pol. Sc., Philosophy, Sociology, Economics and Languages with minimum 50% marks.
2. MLIS: Regular Honours Graduates of any recognized University who have done the three-year Hons. Course/LLB/BBA/BCA/B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm./MBBS etc. with a minimum of 50% marks.
3. Mass Communication: Regular Honours Graduates of any recognized University who have done the three-year Hons. Course/LLB/BBA/BCA/B.E./B.Tech./ B.Pharm./MBBS etc. with a minimum of 50% marks.
4. MBA Programmes [MBA, MBA (Tourism), MBA (HR)]: Regular Honours Graduates of any recognized University who have done the three-year Hons. Course/LLB/BBA/BCA/B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm./MBBS etc. with a minimum of 50% marks. However, first preference will be given to those candidates who have appeared in and have valid score of CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT and JEMAT. If vacant seats are still available, candidates shall be selected based on the merit as per the prescribed eligibility and procedure of selection.
5. Environmental Sciences: Science graduates (10+2+3) having 50% marks Honours in Env. Sc. / Microbiology / Botany/ Chemistry/ Zoology/ Physics/ Geography (with a B.Sc degree)/ Geology/ Physiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry and B.Sc.(Agri.) Hons. (10+2+4).
6. Biotechnology: Honours in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Physiology with a minimum of 50% marks having pass subjects like Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physiology.
7. Geospatial Sciences: Honours with Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Geography, Forestry, Wildlife Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Agriculture, Oceanography, Marine Sciences, Bioinformatics, Fisheries Science with 50% marks in Undergraduate.
8. Molecular Biology and Human Genetics : Honours with Molecular Biology and Human Genetics, Chemistry, Zoology, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Wildlife Science, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Physiology, Biophysics, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Bioinformatics, Fisheries Science with 50% marks in Undergraduate/ MBBS/BDS/BE/BTech.

9. Nutrition and Public Health : Honours with Nutrition, Public Health, Nutrition and Public Health with 50% marks in Undergraduate.
10. Electronics and Communications : Honours with Electronics, Communications with 50% marks in Undergraduate.
11. Psychology: Honours with Psychology with Arts/Science background with 50% marks in Undergraduate.

Admission Procedure:
Candidates will be called for counselling and admission based on the basis of their ranks in the merit lists. The selected candidate will have to report for counselling and admission at the GOLAPBAG CAMPUS of THE UNIVERSITY OF BURDWAN as per the programme notified along with the merit list. The merit list will be available in the university website (www.buruniv.ac.in).

Candidates shall have to bring along the documents and testimonials mentioned below at the time of admissions:

* Original and photocopy of mark-sheets of all public examinations passed.
* Original and photo copy of birth certificate/ admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent examinations.

Original Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribes / OBC-A/ OBC-B/ Differently Abled/ Sports certificate issued in favour of the candidates. Relevant Certificates must conform to West Bengal Govt. Memo No. 1813-BCW/MR-94/11 dated 20th June, 2011.

* Rank card, which is available in the online admission portal.
* Printed copy of Application form, to be downloaded from online portal before moving to the page for payment of application fee.
* Students have to submit an affidavit sworn before the Notary Public within the 15 days of admission in their respective departments to the effect that they would not take part or incite any activity of ragging failing which they are liable to be expelled. The said undertaking should be countersigned by respective guardians.
* Once documents verification is confirmed, within given time period candidates need to pay the respective fees online.
* Once verification is confirmed, ‘Online Admission Fee Payment’ link will be visible in the online portal. Candidates are advised to pay the respective admission fees through online and print the voucher copy.

*If any candidate does not pay the admission fees within the stipulated period, then the admission of that candidate will be terminated and will completely exit from admission procedure.

* Admission will be confirmed for those candidates who pay the necessary admission fees within the given time period.
